Project Details
Coherence and entanglement of fluorine impurity spin-qubits in ZnSe (A02)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2015 to 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 249492093
This project is aimed to study the coherent properties of electron spins bound to fluorine donor impurities in a ZnSe host semiconductor. The strong influence of the non-zero nuclear spin environment shall be reduced or even completely canceled by isotopic purification of the non-zero nuclear isotopes of Zn and Se. The impurity-bound excitons in ZnSe provide strong optical transitions and will be used to coherently manipulate individual electron spins and demonstrate entanglement between distant spins residing on two remote impurities.
