Project Details
Spin resonance: ESR-NMR with optical detection (C07)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2015 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 249492093
Electron spin resonance and optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) will be used to study the spin structure and spin-spin interactions in three classes of objects: spin centers in SiC, type-I and type-II GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells and superlattices, and colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals. The complex dynamics of the interacting electron and nuclear spin systems will be investigated. In addition, rare-earth and transition ions in garnets, including non-Kramers ions with a giant initial level splitting, will be studied by high-frequency electron-paramagnetic resonance, electron spin echo and ODMR.
