Project Details
GRK 617: Complex Systems of Hadrons and Nuclei
Subject Area
Particles, Nuclei and Fields
Term
from 2000 to 2009
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 273057
The scientific focus of this research training group is the investigation of the properties of quantum-chromodynamics in the non-perturbative regime, both by experiment and phenomenological theories. The experiments aim for an understanding of the partonic substructure of the nucleon, its excited states and their decay channels and an exploration of the properties of hot and dense nuclear matter. The theoretical studies concentrate correspondingly on an analysis of photo- and electroproduction experiments on the nucleon and the nucleus as well as on a study of relativistic andultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions.
