The aim of the European research training group is a broad research-oriented education of Ph.D. students in the area of advanced polymer materials. It is achieved by the combination of the interdisciplinary research program with an intense training program in an international environment. The Ph.D. students are requested to carry out a part of their research in the partner institutions and to attend workshops and seminars organized in regular time intervals in the research institutions participating in the European research training group. The subject of the Ph.D. thesis cover aspects of the synthesis, characterization and properties of advanced polymeric materials, and of their application. Their work are especially focused on supramolecular structures, special polymer architecture, high performance polymer networks, phase separation and association phenomena of polymers in solution and in bulk as well as on polymers sensitive to thermal, optical, electric, mechanical and chemical stimuli, polymers for biomedical applications, and polymer membranes.
