The aim of the central project is to foster the conjunction of the expertises of the involved groups and to support its members in achieving goals that the entire group pursues. These aims of the entire group are: (1) that the research group as a whole wants to play an active role in the scientific field of dislocation based plasticity; (2) that the research group furthermore wants to serve its members and the scientific community with a web page and a central repository of papers and data for open access; and (3) that it wants to foster lively scientific exchange within the scientific community and therefore wants to develop a conference series in the field.
