Radiative Leptonic Decay B->gamma-ell-nu in QCD

Subject Area Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, Fields
Term from 2015 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 274627507

The goal of this project is a state-of-the-art study of the radiative leptonic decay B -> gamma ell nu using a combination of QCD factorization and dispersion techniques. This is the simplest process of this kind, and its study is necessary to constrain the B-meson light-cone distribution amplitude (DA). The corresponding measurement will come from the Belle~II experiment which started gathering data last year. Our tasks for the second funding period are twofold. On the theory side, we willderive the next-to-leading order evolution equation for the B-meson DA.On the analysis side, we will provide constraints on the B-meson DA in the two-parameter space from the arriving data.
