Project Details
Topological superconductivity in HgTe-based topological materials (B02)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 258499086
This project studies the properties of proximity-induced superconductivity in HgTe. The focus is the systematic investigation of the spatial, spectral and dynamic properties of Andreev bound states and to study the interplay of superconducting correlations and magnetism. A combination of thermoelectric measurements and Johnson noise thermometry will be used to search for signatures of quantized thermal transport mediated by Majorana bound states.
