Project Details
Dissecting STAT6-regulated resolution of inflammation in the lung (A02)
Subject Area
Medical Microbiology and Mycology, Hygiene, Molecular Infection Biology
Term
from 2015 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 261193037
Project A02 addresses the mechanisms of type 2 immunity-regulated resolution of inflammation in the lung. The STAT6-regulated composition and differentiation of macrophage and eosinophil subsets in the lungs will be investigated during acute and resolving lung inflammation. With organoid cultures of mouse and human origin, the project will investigate how STAT6-regulated genes in lung epithelial cells restore epithelial barrier integrity. A02 thus provides tools and expertise on STAT6-regulated resolution of inflammation in the lung to CRC1181.
