Project Details
Heat treatment for load-adjusted material properties of tailored forming components (A02)
Subject Area
Mechanical Properties of Metallic Materials and their Microstructural Origins
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 252662854
In order to positively influence the fatigue and alternating deformation behaviour in the hybrid materials considered within the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre, heat treatment strategies are adapted to the forming processes. Combining the strategies from the 1st and 2nd funding period with a concept for inductive solution annealing, a holistic heat treatment for the hybrid shafts made of steel and aluminium is developed. Additionally, the crack growth behaviour at the joining zones of steel-aluminium compounds is investigated.
