Project Details
Additive Manufacturing of three-dimensional surfaces (B11)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2015 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 172116086
The three-dimensional additive manufacturing will be extended in such a way that metallic 3D microstructures can be printed directly. Based on preliminary work, novel photoresists will be developed that enable direct photochemical reduction from metal salts. The resulting nanoparticles agglomerate and are sintered by means of a second laser. For the first time, this process can extend the established additive production of metals on the macroscale to the microscale. Such structures are investigated for their microstructure, their mechanical and tribological properties.
