The philosophical project D09 develops the concept of the “unfelt” from a multidimensional perspective. First, as a category of negative affect that implies ignorance and neglect, second as a historical phenomenon that organizes the repression of social feelings within (post)colonial modernity and third, as a driver of the widespread inability to react appropriately to the ecological catastrophe. The project will inquire into the social production of modes of unfeeling and assess how such deficient modes of affectivity operate within social formations.
