In contrast to the first period of the long term project, which mainly aimed at the development of the annotation model, the second period focussed the systematic expansion of annotated corpus texts. The usage of semi-automatic procedures of annotation and the consolidation of a more effective workflow model served as a basis for the rapid increase of annotated texts in period II compared to period I. The report tackles these topics as well as various pilot studies carried out within the recent years.The now planned period III also aims at systematically increasing the amount of corpus texts due to the overall planning of the project. Furthermore, further pilot studies on the contribution of grammatical structures to text profiles are being planned as well as the continuous collaboration with external project partners who shall test the usability of GiesKaNe.
