Spectral analysis of the early phase of Nova Del 2013

We have obtained a number of high-resolution TIGRE spectra of Nova Del 2013 (V339 Del, PNV J20233073+2046041) in the optical region through a target of opportunity program. We plan to analyse the spectra in the optically thick and early transition phases with PHOENIX/1D NLTE nova model atmospheres. The analysis will provide the effective temperatures, density profiles, velocities and abundances for a number of epochs. In addition, we plan to model the sub-structure apparent in the profiles of strong lines with parameterized 3D line formation models using a 2 level atom approximation.
