The multidisciplinary oriented Specialised Information Service Benelux / Low Countries Studies (FID Benelux) is designed as a one-stop provider of scientifically relevant literature and information about the culture and society of the Benelux countries and research supportive services. The mission of the project is to combine a comprehensive range of scientific literature, information and advisory services with electronic value-added services that are closely geared to the needs of academic research. The project aims to provide services that take into account both existing and future research interests and that are able to respond flexibly and in a demand-driven way to current research questions. This will result in an integral scientific infrastructure that includes tools and solutions for all phases and areas of the scientific work process. FID Benelux is addressed to researchers in the disciplines of Dutch philology as well as researchers in the disciplines of history, regional studies, politics, sociology, European ethnology and geography who have a special interest in the Netherlands, Belgium and/or Luxembourg
