Term from 2016 to 2018
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 288800645

The aim of this research application is the subject cataloguing and digitization of approximately 2,300 monographs published in German-speaking territories, which are part of the Heidelberg University Library's collection. This will be done according to the national biographical standard. In accordance with the intent that UB Heidelberg expressed during the second stage of the main phase of VD 18, the assignation of the definite titles (to be catalogued and digitized) has been made. The calculations at hand are based on this information. The cataloguing of the monographs is to be carried out within the union catalogue's own network (SWB), the cataloguing of the magazine issues via the ZDB. The metadata and images generated by the project will be made publicly available without restrictions (open access) and will be provided in the catalogues of the "union of libraries", the VD 18 portal, or the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek, as well as on an international basis via the OAl-network and EUROPEANA.
