Final Report Abstract
Within this project we aimed to study the formation and evolution of protostellar discs with our novel radiation-transfer approach of the FLASH code. First we improved the radiation-transfer module for the FLASH code which was developed by Lars Buntemeyer within a DFG Emmy-Noether project. In the second step of this project we started to study the early phases of protostellar discs. As pointed out in the proposal, discs are key features during the formation of stars and planets. Hence, understanding the early phases of the disc evolution is vital to understand the build up of young stellar systems.
