Final Report Abstract

The project developed an ontology for inter-universitary research on professorial career patterns in Early Modern universities. It was based on the data from the Helmstedt and Leipzig professor‘s catalogues and integrated data from the Bamberg catalogue. The project also developed a technical infrastructure for working with, expanding and updating the research ontology, that has been puplished within the Semantic Web for future research. The possibilities for visualising and evaluating the research data were tested using an explorative study on the research question.
