The questions underlying the research program and the scientific methods of the CRC 1242 will be communicated to a general audience with an interest in science and technology. Additional hands-on experiments and special exhibits will be realized, which attract curiosity and invite to tinker and experiment. The "ultrafast experimental lab" will be expanded to offer high school students a lab class at the university. Further measures include press relations, especially a regular cooperation with a regional newspaper, a German web presence for the general public, and a CRC podcast in which the main research areas are highlighted.
