The Bioanalytical Platform offers an advanced research platform for the projects of CRC 1218 ranging from proteomics and metabolomics to bioenergetics. While proteomics is aimed to identify proteins and their functional networks, metabolomics provides an analytical tool for the identification of pathway alterations and biosignature analyses. The integrative bioanalytical platform is an integral part of the CRC 1218, and the facilities have established a diverse setup of mass spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics methods, as well as various bioenergetic approaches that enables the analysis of dynamics of mitochondria in living organisms.
