Mitochondrial bioenergetics is of central importance in diverse cellular actions involved in cellular homeostasis and stress responses. However, the complexity and dynamics of mitochondrial energy metabolism represent a great challenge for the integrative understanding of how mitochondria interfere with cellular functions. Therefore, the Z04 project intends to build up a much-needed Bioenergetic facility that should fulfill the need for in-depth analysis of metabolic processes in cells.
