The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) provides the framework for enabling the optimum research experience for the early-career researchers of the CRC and for preparing them also for their next career steps. The IRTG encompasses mandatory and elective actions including a 6-month booster phase, training measures, interdisciplinary seminars with invited guests, regular retreats and summer schools, a research stay abroad, and international-conference participation. The overall concept is characterized by a strong peer-teaching component and team-based mentoring.
