In A01, the generic configuration immersed body is realized in two generic test benches. These are used to address research questions on the influence of macroscopic structures on forced and spontaneous dynamic wetting and dewetting with and without heat transport. From the experimental investigations and analyses, a basic understanding as well as models for the description of the interactions are formulated. The generic configuration is closely linked to application-oriented and numerical subprojects so that applied research is supported and models can be incorporated into OpenFOAM as subgrid scale models. The complexity of the surfaces and fluids will successively be increased.
