In the project, the methods for robust optimization and the optimal design of experiments are to be further developed in order to be able to deal with practical application problems. In funding period 3, the focus is on increasing model complexity and taking uncertainties into account. In addition to the sensitivities, adjoints are also to be made available in the interSensFoam program code in order to enable the efficient treatment of many optimization variables or uncertainty parameters. Another focus will be on the efficient handling of geometry optimization problems.
