Project Details
Controlled dynamic wetting and the influence of ionic mass transport in mesoporous films (C04)
Subject Area
Polymer Materials
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 265191195
The project is dedicated to the interaction between wetting and ligand binding and the influence on mass transport in functionalized mesopores. In funding period 3, on the one hand, the combination of ligand binding and wettability to control selective adsorption in mesopores is to be advanced. On the other hand, the findings will be evaluated with regard to their application potential in the context of mass and proton transport as well as fluid and molecule separation. For this purpose, mixed functionalizations will be optimized with regard to selective adsorption and design criteria for transport and separation will be derived.
