Project Details
Dynamics and correlations studied by neutron scattering (B04)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 277146847
The magnetic and nuclear structure and their excitations shall be studied by various neutron scattering techniques to explore topological superconductivity, Berry-phase effects on magnetic dynamics, current-driven metal-insulator transitions and complex ordering phenomena. We will focus on the two promising candidate topological superconductors Sr2RuO4 and doped Bi2Se3, on ferromagnetic metals experiencing strong spin-orbit coupling, on materials exhibiting strong magnetic anisotropy and on magnetoelectrics.
