Use of mechanical process effects for continuous coloring by mechanical manufacturing processes (U04)

In subproject U04, micro and macro samples are deformed in a high throughput approach using adapted methods for mechanical surface treatment to enable conclusions to be drawn about the mechanical material properties of new alloy compositions. Characteristic descriptors are identified, collected, and evaluated against the background of sensitivity. The elasto-plastic deformation is performed under varying sample temperatures. The wear resistance is analyzed in accompanying tribological investigations. In-process parameters are also collected and used based on the method “Farbige Zustände”.
