Analysis of machinability on micro and macro scale (S04)

Subject Area Metal-Cutting and Abrasive Manufacturing Engineering
Term from 2016 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 276397488

Project Description

In subproject S04, micro and macro samples are machined by processes with defined as well as undefined cutting edge in order to investigate relations between mechanical material properties and indicators of machinability. Next to process forces and surface topography, research will particularly emphasize on an in-depth analysis of the relationships between material properties and the manifestation of acoustic emission signals in the time- and frequency domain.
