Development of methods and integrated processes for planning adaptive buildings (A01)

The increasing complexity and the advanced possibilities of adaptive structures can only be encompassed through a cross-disciplinary team. The methodological and interdisciplinary questions addressed in the project A01 complement in particular the research of the projects A02 and A03. In A01, an integral planning process as well as suitable methods and associated (digital) tools are developed. The concept of integral planning takes into account the entire life cycle of a building, aspects of the design, all stakeholders involved during the life cycle and additional methodological support that is linked to the individual planning steps and disciplinary intersections. Further research includes a process-oriented application of methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the context of adaptive buildings.
