In 2017, the University of Rostock has established an Open Access publication fund and developed corresponding services to cover the costs of Open Access journal articles for its relatives in compliance with the DFG funding regulations. With the application for the second funding phase, the University of Rostock will further expand the publication fund in order to reach more authors. For this, measures in the areas of financing, workflows, institutional memberships, structures and advisory and support services are proposed.
