Decision makers’ preferences correlate with their subjective expectations. Building on methodic and substantive results of the first funding period, project A01 measures these correlations, with a more applied focus in mind: the team members measure the joint impact of preferences and beliefs in a number of real-world settings. A major set of applications lies in the health sector, another is the choice of one’s field of study. Further applications include the experimental separation of social preferences and beliefs in the investigation of gender differences in trust.
