Project Details
Charge transport in and chiro-optical properties of zone-cast films of chiral N-heteropolycycles (C06)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Solids and Surfaces, Material Characterisation
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
Thin films of chiral N-heteropolycycles with measurable dissymmetry factors in absorption and emission of circularly polarized light will be created and characterized. Films that show high dissymmetry factors will be applied as chiral filters and as active materials for circularly polarized light selective phototransistors. Other chiral N-heteropolycycles will be used as chiral dopants or sensitizers for other molecular semiconductors. Aligned thin films will be employed to study potential chirality- and direction-dependent charge transport.
