Our research on neutrino fast flavor instabilities will be advanced beyond simplified studies. This requires numerical developments and tools to treat this effect directly and consistently in supernova (SN) models. We will also return to axion emission from SN 1987A, a traditional topic of renewed recent interest. We will use a fresh nuclear-physics perspective and new predictions of the neutrino signal based on an optimal SN model. We will also derive the cosmic diffuse SN axion background (DSAB) from all past SNe.
