The overarching goal of project B06 is to uncover the role of attention for linguistic prominence. In phase III, our project aims to deepen and complete our insights into the attention-language interface by addressing two major strands of research: We will continue to work on the development of the attention-language interface in children (i), and we will examine how the connection between attention and prominence in language is conditioned by impairments of either attention or language abilities (ii). To this end, we will focus on individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and on children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
