Project Details
Measurement-based characterization and prediction of ductile and cyclic damage interaction at the macroscale (B01)
Subject Area
Mechanical Properties of Metallic Materials and their Microstructural Origins
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 278868966
In subproject B01 an electrical-magnetic measurement and sensor system for the characterization of forming process-induced damage for the analysis of the interaction and separation of cyclic damage mechanisms shall be established and validated. The interpretation of measurement results will be made possible by experiments on the microscale and by the use of an electro-mechanically coupled multi-scale formulation (FE²) to be developed. The material models are calibrated based on experimental data and electro-mechanically coupled interface elements are developed.
