Sensitivity and optimization of damage in forming processes (C05)

In the second funding period the macroscopic modeling of damage and the associated sensitivity analysis will be extended by taking temperature and viscosity (rate dependency) into account. This makes these important phenomena accessible for optimization. The optimization tool developed in the first funding period will be further developed and applied to complex forming processes. In addition, optimization on the microscale will be introduced in order to generate optimal microstructures to control and minimize damage.
