Centrosomes in mammalian skin epithelial cell fate decisions (A12*)

How cell fate decisions are acquired in the skin epithelium, how they change during aging and disease, and whether they are linked to cell division are fundamental open questions in skin biology. Centrosomes that organize the spindle microtubules are considered key regulators of the modes of cell division that dictate fate determination. We will dissect the functions of centrosomes in the mouse epidermis and hair follicle during development and homeostasis.
