Final Report Abstract

The work carried out during the project gave an important contribution toward the understanding of the impact of novel electrolyte on the behavior of EDLCs. The work on the project focus particularly on the thermal behavior of the electrolytes and on their impact on the stability of EDLCs during test at high temperature. This important aspect was not considered in the past and, therefore, the results of the project can be considered very novel. Using the in-situ STA cell, it was also possible to considered in detail the relationship between operative voltage and operative voltage. Taking these points into account, the project can be certainly considered as successful. It is also important to remark that despite the difficulties associated to the Covid emergency the two groups involved on the project have been able to stablish a very fruitful collaboration, as shown by the several common publications.
