Project Details
Magnetochiral vortex ratchets in ballistic 2D Josephson-junction arrays (C03[B08])
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 314695032
We will explore Josephson-junction arrays of different geometry and establish direct evidence for spin-orbit-induced spontaneous supercurrents and their signatures in DC and AC transport. We will apply local magnetic imaging with the scanning SQUID method at Bar-Ilan to obtain direct images of the distribution of the spontaneous supercurrents in the arrays. At Regensburg, we will employ DC transport experiments, as well as measurements of the vortex inductance, to characterize the vortex-vortex interactions.
