Amoeboid cell motility is essential for a wide range of biological processes, such as wound healing, cancer progression, and morphogenesis. In this project, we will establish a data assimilation framework for one of the most widely used classes of motility models. This will allow us to compare and improve existing motility models and to advance our understanding of specific biological questions that are related, for example, to switches between different motility phenotypes.
