Project Details
Bioinspired guanidinium-containing nanoparticles for gene delivery (B03)
Subject Area
Pharmacy
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 316213987
Project B03 will focus on the synthesis of safe and efficient gene carriers like guanidinium containing terpolymers with a systematic control of the hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance. The terpolymers will be formulated with nucleic acids where the resulting polyplexes will be applied as anti-inflammatory treatment based on NF-kB knockdown. The materials will be tested in cell culture systems like endothelial cells or epithelial intestinal models and M1 / M2 macrophages.
