The aim of the University of Osnabrück's application for the LIS funding programme "Open Access Publishing" is to establish central, permanent and reliable structures to finance publication fees (APCs) for Open Access journal articles in original, quality-assured Open Access journals. DFG funding provides support for a transitional period during which a regular budget for APCs is established. In the third phase of the project, the sustainable model of funding will be established. The successful workflow for Open Access publications should be integrated into the regular business processes of media acquisition as far as possible. The library's publication-supporting services will be improved and the marketing concept for Open Access will be continued and expanded. The cooperation with further university institutions will be intensified in order to provide support for researchers as required.
