Goethe University Frankfurt is going to secure ways of open access publication for its staff by establishing a sustainable fund for support. Drawing on its own library's budget is sought to be combined with financial support from the DFG within an initial phase of the project. Only publications in quality controlled, peer reviewed and impact factor based journals will be considered for funding. This is just another initiative by Goethe University to pave the way for open science, as for instance being shown in the array of open journals published by the university library.
