Project Details
Visualization of multi-field processes in porous media (D01)
Subject Area
Image and Language Processing, Computer Graphics and Visualisation, Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous and Wearable Computing
Term
since 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 327154368
We aim to develop methods for the fast and expressive visualization of large and potentially heterogeneous porous media data. Building upon our prior work on feature extraction and feature-based representations, our goal for this funding period is to enable immediate hierarchical analysis of large ensembles and edge visualization for the long-term acquisition or high-throughput experimental data. In addition, we want to introduce novel concepts for the exploration of multiple spatial scales by highlighting features across scales while retaining information about the scale they belong to.
