In this project, we shed new light on countries' incentives to use trade and industrial policy when firms are heterogeneous in productivity and when their value chains are global. We also aim at improving our understanding of the effect of trade policy on labor market outcomes. Finally, we investigate the impact of market conditions – especially regulation, trade and industrial policy – on firms' organizational structure.
