Project identifier

The present project addresses stimulus-stimulus and stimulus-response binding in the somatosensory domain in adolescent and adult GTS patients, generalizing previous work from the visual to the tactile modality. This is particularly relevant for GTS patients, because there is a wealth of data indicating that somatosensory-motor processing is abnormal in this disorder. Behavioral paradigms will be complemented by EEG exploring the neural processes underlying behavioral effects and repetitive TMS (rTMS) interventions as a tool to modulate brain activity and to probe which areas are crucial relays for event coding in the somatosensory-motor system in GTS.
