Dynamical Probes for Spin Liquids (E07*)

We will investigate dynamical properties of quantum-spin liquids (QSL's) and simulate microscopic model systems that can be directly compared to experiments. The first topic is to use dynamical density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) methods to obtain dynamical structure factors of paradigmatic spin liquid model systems. We will consider 2D spin-liquid Hamiltonians including perturbed Kitaev-Heisenberg models, spin-1/2 kagome Heisenberg models, and triangular lattice models. The second topic will be to theoretically predict dynamical properties of QSL's, where we will study the dynamical structure factor of 3D quantum spin ice.
