Project Details
Process control in micro atmospheric pressure RF plasma jets by voltage waveform tailoring and customized boundary surfaces (A04)
Subject Area
Optics, Quantum Optics and Physics of Atoms, Molecules and Plasmas
Term
since 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 327886311
In this project, plasma sources driven by tailored voltage waveforms and equipped with structured electrodes are developed, which provide advanced control of the energy distribution function of electrons in the plasma and, thus, allow energy-efficient generation of reactive species and excited neutrals. In particular, the application of this technology to efficient plasma-induced conversion of liquid alkenes and gaseous alkanes is investigated.
