In this project, optical spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy in total reflection are used to directly observe nanosecond plasmas and their interaction with a liquid-solid interface. The chemistry in the liquid is examined by means of optical absorption in the visible. This arrangement is used to investigate the plasma-assisted regeneration of a copper catalyst for CO2 electroreduction.
