The „Network Building Research Postwar-Architecture 1945+ / NBJB 1945 + “ will deal with pressing questions to the preservation and to building further of post-war buildings. With the bulk – about 60% of our today's constructions stocks erected between 1960-80 – new strategies of maintenance and planning are needed. The reasonableness of the preservation measures is questioned currently more instead of moving the potential of the resource protection into focus or looking for adequate architectural solutions. The network applied herein aims to discuss the transferability of the topical procedures for documentation of historical building stocks on juvenile stocks in 1945 + and to compile adequate standards which correspond to the requirements of the practice. Practical experiences of the network members from running research and projects form basics for this. The network intends to document the amassed case studies, to confront methodical procedures and to provide a guide for the construction history research of the modern age. In the end concrete assistance for the capture and assessment of the continuance in 1945 + will be delivered to the actors in preservation and further construction – principal, architects, civil engineers and monument conservationists: Thus the cooperation between institutions of preservation and research facilities at universities and advanced technical colleges is needed, as the mediation of the results to the interested professional public and building industry by a book publication, extendable according to project state (on-line or print on demand) with contributions of the involved network members.
