Project C05 developed pulsed laser post-processing (PLPP) methods to control the crystallographic defect density in spinel nanoparticles, which will now be expanded to laser-based doping of real catalysts and faceted 2D thin films as model catalysts with cations of increasing valency (Fe3+, Mn4+, V5+) to identify the underlying reaction mechanism and the active sites of real-structure catalyst.
